Calimoon Trip!!

What is a Calimoon?? It's a California vacation and a babymoon mixed! We couldn't just call it a babymoon because Riley was along for the ride :)

We were gone from the 14th to the 21st, and it was wonderful! We had such a great time! WARNING: This is a LONG blog!

DAY 1
Airport/airplane/CA




When we got there, we headed straight to In-and-Out Burger!!!!! Riley had his first ever cheeseburger, and he ate the WHOLE thing!

DAY 2
Disneyland and Hungtington Beach

DAY 3
California Adventure and Newport Beach



Waiting for the Toy Story Mania ride. 3-D and AWESOME!



Meeting Woody! Riley was thrilled and super shy! He was totally in awe of seeing and meeting the "real" Woody! He was so excited he could hardly look at him. :)

World of Color show at CA Adventure. It's a water and light show that is spectacular! They show parts of movies on the spray of the water. Very, very well done!





Riley enjoyed the show, but he refused to let his death grip on Matt's neck go during the whole thing. :)


DAY 4
Seaworld and Newport Beach

To our suprise and Riley's delight, Seaworld had a Sesame Street park for kiddos. The real suprise of it was the characters came out for a little show, and Riley got to meet two of his favorites: Elmo and Cookie Monster!!! He was thrilled (and could care less about Zoe, the other character in the picture). :)


We got to feed the sea lions!!!

DAY 5
CA Adventure and Disneyland

Toy Story ride again!!



Riley got to meet Buzz Lightyear! Buzz is Riley's favorite character EVER (at this point in his life) and he was absolutely amazed. Totally silent and shy again, but couldn't stop talking about him before and after meeting him. :)

DAY 6
Newport Beach



Ending the day with Joe's Crabshack and a one day early dinner celebration for Matt's 29th birthday!


DAY 7
CA Adventure/In-and-Out Burger/Disneyland/Newport Beach












We ended the day, and celebrated Matt's 29th birthday, by sitting in the plaza area between Disneyland and CA Adventure with some ice cream, watching the Disneyland fireworks! What a great ending to a great vacation!!!
