My parents came up to our house to bring Riley his Christmas present and to spend some time with us before we went down to visit them :) It may seem silly, but them coming up and then us going down was great. We don't get to see my family as much as we would like, even though they are only two hours away, so anytime we can spend is much looked forward to and appreciated!
Riley's new present!!

While my parents were visiting, Matt decided that he wanted to break in the new paella pan that I got him for Christmas(for those of you who don't know, paella is a traditional rice/seafood/chicken dish from Spain). He was so pumped and it turned out GREAT!!! The 4 of us adults ate all of a pan that makes paella for 6!!!

Christmas #4
The Christmas celebrations came to an end this last week. We went to Colorado Springs to celebrate Christmas with my family and some great family friends (Kira, Amelie and Cosette) on the 30th. What a great time! This Christmas has been wonderful all around. The celebrations were nice and spread out, there was lots of family and friend time, and watching Riley observe everything was amazing! To a one year old, it is all full of wonder and very new and exciting. It is one of those moments that just overflows my heart!

Another friend!
While we were in the Springs, I learned that a friend of mine from high school, Danielle, and her daughter, Josie, were in town! We met up with them for lunch and had some great catch up time before heading back home!
