Finally, a Hailey post!

I know. It's been 3 weeks. I honestly could wait longer to post, but there are some very eager people who are on my case to see pictures. :)

 Let's start on my birthday, October 28. Matt and I went out to celebrate at the Melting Pot, and when we got home, I wondered if my water had broken, but it wasn't flowing, so we decided to wait until our pre-op the next morning. We went to the doctor's, and both the nurse and my doctor said that it was probably nothing, but that they would check me anyway. Sure enough, one look at me and my doctor said, "Forget signing the pre-op papers, you are having a baby today. Head to the hospital!"

She was born at Medical Center of the Rockies at 4:58 pm, October 29, 2010. 7 lbs 8.2 ozs, 21 inches long!

Meeting her proud big brother!!

It took us 2-ish days to figure out her name. Hailey Autumn. Hailey was a name that I had on my list of possibilities, but we never really thought about it as an option. Then a friend of ours was holding her and Matt asked him what he thought she looked like. Without knowing anything about names we had chosen, he said, "She looks like a Hailey Autumn." Matt came into the room asking me what I thought of Hailey. I loved it, he loved it, and by day 3 it was official. It took us until day 4 to decide on the spelling though! (Autumn was always going to be her middle name, if we decided not to have it be her first name. It's my middle name.)

The 3 most important people in my life!

Cute girl. Sometimes she looks just like Riley, other times she looks just like my baby pictures! Matt got his mini-me, and I got mine! :)

Semi-smile. She has been a super smiliey baby from day one. It's really cute, even though she doesn't know she's doing it yet. :) AND she got Daddy's dimples! He is going to have to get more guns. ;)

She is now almost 4 weeks old! These are pictures of birth to about one week. I will get another post up one of these days! For now, it's time to go snuggle with my little princess while my awesome son is napping! :)
