Mexico Trip {Day 1}

At the beginning of May, we went to Mexico for the wedding of some good friends, Dave and Veronica. If you remember an earlier post about them getting married, you are correct. They officially got married in a small beautiful ceremony on the 10th of October this last year. However, this was the big wedding ceremony in Veronica's home town of Rosarito, Mexico!

This was Hailey's first flight, much less international trip, and we were a little unsure of how she would do. She hates the car, so we were nervous for the flight, but she did great!! It looks like we have two little travelers, which is good, because we love to travel!
Being patient in the airport

She is just too cute, what can I say?!

Excited to fly!

We were on the same flight as Dave! (It was nice to have the extra help traveling with two!

Perfect! What a relief! :)

A tired mommy (who looks so old!).

Yummy sucker (to help with the ears on takeoff and landing)!
As I said, the kids did really well on the flight. We actually flew into San Diego, so when we got there, we took a cab to the border and crossed on foot. I really wanted a picture of Riley crossing the border sign, but with the two kids, three adults, and SO much luggage, it just didn't happen.

Waiting to cross the border.

"All this travel is wearing me out!"

After some time checking out our hotel and naps for the kids, we went to the beach where Riley made a friend. :)

Our little beach bum!

Hailey's first time at the beach!

Ryan (Dave and Veronica's son) tries to make a move on Hailey. :)

Riley's new friend.

They were so funny! They just kept copying eachother.

For dinner, we went to a great seafood restaurant with everyone. Riley, who gets bored easily these days, spent a lot of time pretending he was a server and going up and down the stairs to "get us food, drinks, and boxes". Super cute.
Pond/waterfall outside the restaurant.

"Does anybody need a box?" "Does anybody need orange juice?"
That was day 1! More to come. :)
