Cabin in the mountains

This last weekend, we took a much needed break and got some quality family time in the mountains. Matt knows someone with a cabin just up the Poudre canyon, and he let us have it for the weekend! We made the 36 mile, hour and a half drive up the canyon...it's a winding road...and enjoyed the quiet! Actually, it is SO quiet up there that it almost hurts your ears...wonderful!

70s carpet aside, it was a beautiful cabin in a great location!

We made smores on the grill since we didn't want to start a fire in the fire pit. :) They tasted just as good, I promise!






The next morning, before we had to go home, we took a great walk around the area. Riley seemed to really like riding on Daddy's back, and almost fell asleep a few times :)
