Mexico!!

This last week, we had the opportunity to go to Mexico for a part vacation, part business trip (EntreLeadership with Dave Ramsey). We were a little nervous to have Riley along with us, mainly because of baths, since you can't drink the tap water, but thankfully all went well and we had a great time! AND our little boy is officially an international traveler!

We got to the hotel (Paradisus Rivera Cancun) after dark, but still went exploring! The pool was nice, and the sand at the beach was so soft!





The first day, Matt didn't have any classes, so we had a full day of family time!!




The resort was beautiful, but the main area was made up of a series of walkways with pools and fountains on both sides. Nice, unless you have to run after a little guy who LOVES the water and is very fast. Luckily, there were no mishaps!


This is a lamp that Riley absolutely loved. Every night he made sure to go and bang on it for awhile and whine until we would pick him up so he could see the light bulb inside :)

The days following were typically spent with just myself and Riley from the early mornings to about 1:00pm, while Matt was in classes. Riley and I would eat breakfast, then go to the beach and play, then play at the pool. Hopefully a nap for Riley would follow, then we would get Matt for lunch, then he and Riley would go to the pool while I took a little break, then we would have family time the rest of the day!









One day, Riley and I were lucky to get a cabana bed by the pool! We really enjoyed that for the day!




During our stay, Riley made lots of friends and a new girlfriend! This is Riley's favorite waiter, Carlos, and Riley's girlfriend, Nena, who turned two while we were there!




Riley loved the beach, but was afraid of the ocean until about day 3. He then decided it was ok, and from then on enjoyed playing in it and eating sand!

A monkey! I am somewhat jealous of this picture because the day before, Riley and I had taken a picture with some beautiful parrots and Matt wasn't there to get a picture :( Oh well.

What a great trip! We will definately have to do it again.
