V-day and stitches

Valentine's Day/weekend ended up being great! Matt and I enjoyed dinner at East Moon in the hibachi part of the restaurant. It was delicious and fun (thanks, Maisie!!). Matt also surprised me with a great card from him and Riley, yummy chocolates, and a flower delivery!!! I have never had flowers delivered so that was fun, and the bouquet was beautiful!


On the 15th, we saw Brian Regan and Kermit ???, who were both REALLY funny. We had a great time and got to laugh a lot, which is the best medicine! :)

THEN on Monday (16th), at about 7:20ish (PM) Riley fell into his toy chest, hit something just right on his cheek (big gash), bit his lip (big gash) and we headed to the ER. It is so sad to see your little baby bleeding so much, especially from the face, which just doesn't stop bleeding! After almost 4 hours he finally got the 8 stitches he needed (5 in the cheek, 3 by his lip) and we headed home with a tired little man. He really handled things like a trooper! He was done crying by the time we got in the car to go to the ER, he was running around as soon as we got to the ER (smiling and flirting with everyone...with a majorly bleeding face mind you) and enjoyed all the attention...until we got to the stitches. We had to wrap him up like a little burrito and a nurse held his head while a very kind plastic surgeon stitched him up! (NOTE: If you or anyone need stitches in the face, ask for a plastic surgeon to do it!!! You will get better results scar wise!!!!) The most horrible part for Riley was being held down! After we picked him up he was done crying! What a little soldier!
